Position: RN, Nurse Manager
What is a day like at AHD in your position?
A day at AHD can vary from patient care, working in the office, staff training/meetings, communicating with physicians, to educating patients.
Education/Certifications:
Registered Nurse, BLS, and ACLS certified
Work Experience:
I have been a dialysis nurse for 25 years in the clinic and hospital setting. I have experience in in-center hemodialysis, acute hospital settings, peritoneal dialysis (trained on Fresenius Liberty cycler and Baxter Home Choice) and NxStage.
What is your favorite part about working in your field or current position?
My favorite part of working in my current position is that I’m able to spend time with my patients, educate, and make a difference in not only their health but their lives as well.
Why did you want to work for AHD?
I strongly believe patients thrive most when they are at home.
What do you like to do outside of the office?
I like to spend time with my family, especially my granddaughter Esme and exercising.
