Erik and I love to travel…
and since he works for of the major airlines, we can travel very inexpensively. We have traveled with my machine and supplies to Greece, Chile, Honduras, and all over the U.S. We couldn’t have done this with in-center dialysis. You’re unencuumbered by all the red tape dialyzing with the home machine. While traveling on any dialysis modality is rough, but doable the NxStage machine allows so much flexibilty.
When I first found out that my kidneys failed I became very depressed…
When I started dialysis at a center, I found it to be very cold and even uncaring, but this is what had to be done if I wanted to get through this. Then I found a good folks at at home dialysis and life quickly change for the better. First they worked around my schedule allowing me to put full effort into my job. The staff is amazing and I feel a real personal connection with them. They truly care about how I am doing and the best part is they come to your home. No more cold dialysis centers.
